So, a week ago Monday was the day of things being cut: I left early with Anika and Rosalie to go to the clinic. Anika finally got her long leg cast removed and replaced with a shorter model. (This one she can walk on, though it took the whole week till her leg was strong enough to hold her without crutches.) What to do with the old one? It looks so FRAGILE. I think I could get a lamp shade somewhere. . .
While we were gone, Casey buzzed Anderson's hair. He also cut his ear just a little. He still looks pretty happy, though. Then he, Casey, put the box of hair cutting stuff on the stairs to be taken up later. (We do that a lot in our house. It's a wonder Anika's is the first broken leg.)
Later that day I passed right by said box on my way to put Rosalie down for a nap. Having my arms full of baby is a major reason why a lot of things never make it upstairs to be put away. On my way down I saw an open box with a lot of blond hair in it. Ahhh! Meredith promises that she won't cut her own hair ever again. Especially not just before Easter when we have an extended Songer family portrait planned. She nearly mulletized herself. So I bought a headband and flower clip from my sister Kate the Creative (see her creative outlet at onemangotree.blogspot.com) to cover up the more bald parts of her head for the big event. Trust me that it looks worse in real life than it does in this picture.
